SHIELD BEARER FUNDRAISER FOR STRONGER FAMILIES
With the help of sponsors, donors, and volunteers in Cy-Fair and other parts of Northwest Houston, the Shield Bearer organization raised awareness and much-needed funding for programs that aid victims of human trafficking, crime, trauma, dating violence, and unhealthy relationships.
The Shield Bearer “Party with Purpose” was a family friendly, western-themed party with live music, dancing, auctions, photo booth and face painting that took place at the Historic Tin Hall in Cypress on Sept. 4. Top Sponsors were Network Texas, Halford Busby, and Toney Construction; emcee was Owen Conflenti, Local 2 News Anchor; and entertainment was provided by Cool Freddie E and the Crew. Shield Bearer’s Executive Director is Roy Wooten.
Since 2006, Shield Bearer has been championing healthy relationships, strong marriages, healthy families and strong communities. Shield Bearer promotes individual growth and development, preserves and enriches marriages and strengthens and unites families. The nonprofit charity has offices in NW Houston, Cy-Fair, West Houston, Tomball and Hempstead. For more information, visit ShieldBeare.org
