Cypress residents and community leaders joined together to celebrate the groundbreaking of Deep Cypress Gardens on April 19. The ceremony featured a celebratory speech from Teri Quance, CEO/President of Deep Cypress Alliance, a blessing over the property from Reverend Gene Grounds and details about the future plans by Antonio Flamenco, founder of INsite Architecture Inc.

Attendees at the event included Landon Reed, community aide for Harris County Precinct 4; Roy Garcia, Cy-Fair ISD associate superintendent for school administration and leadership development; Leslie Martone, president of Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce; and Paula Harvey, vice-president Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce.

Once complete, The Gardens will feature a welcome center, a farm-to-table restaurant, an extraordinary indoor/outdoor events venue for memorable occasions, a performance pavilion, a functioning greenhouse, shaded walking trails, peaceful sitting areas, and custom water features amidst an ever-changing, beautiful landscape of indigenous trees and a variety of gardens.
